Biodesel reqiures land to be cultivate, that means it will occupy the area of agricultural farms which is not possible, since we need more food to feed our growing population. so the other option is to clear forest area to cultivate these plants, it is not wise to go for biodiesel at the cost of forest area. also, the number of vehicle is increasing day by day that means the emmission of pollutant will increase. it is better to go for renewable source of energy than the biodiesel.

Although not implicitly stated it had to be something about green energy and I impulsively chose to do my project on starting a business converting cars to run on Bio Diesel or SVO and now I’m stuck with it, problem is i know very little about the subject. Ive worked on and off for a few years in my families auto repair shop so i know a fair share about cars, but I’ve never worked on a diesel engine and don’t know anything about the whole biodiesel and SVO deal other than seeing a few random news pieces about people running their cars off of the used grease from fast food restaurants.

My exact business model is to take an already in use maintenance and repair garage and retrofit it to be able to do the conversion.

so what i need are some websites with info about the actual process of taking out the stock engine on a car and replacing it with a diesel engine, the filtration process necessary to use straight vegetable oil and/or how to make Bio Diesel.

Here are the details of the project

any help is greatly appreciated

Here are my thoughts on changes that everybody should make.
1. Having less kids. (world’s population is out of control)
2. Living in apartments in large urban centers. (less urban sprawl, uncontrolled growth of suburbs pushing out wildlife habitat)
3. Buying local produce as much as possible (less fuel used to transport)
4. Stop buying so much disposable stuff (water bottles, paper plates, etc..)
5. Take public transportation or walk (this is much easier when you live in a city that has good transportation available)
6. Greater use of biodiesel, and more research on alternative fuels.
7. Conserve energy.
8. Reuse and recycle.

These are some thoughts. I’m sure there are many more that people can think of. What would your changes be?
I’m not trying to say that these should be mandatory laws, but I think people should be educated that they have options. It should all be voluntary.

I would like to try to make biodiesel. I have just purchased a very old diesel car and would like to experiment with it a little. Do you know of some biodiesel creation videos? I saw one a few months ago on Metacafe, but I can’t seems to find it. Thanks!

I was wondering if there were other alternative fuels out there that requires minimal modifications to the car’s engine outside of biodiesel or hydrogen peroxide?

Someone else asked about hydrogen peroxide on this site and I looked up H2O2 already.

II seem to get complicating answers from the net that is quite complex. Can someone make it any easier for me so that it’ll be easy for me to understand them? Thanks :)
