Hi I’m trying to make Bio diesel and was wondering how many Mico do I have to filter it down too before I can put it in my car and it won’t mess up my engine? And also how do you dewater the biodiesel?

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters,

We’ve stuck together since the late 1950s, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know that we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and just will not ever agree on what’s right. So let’s just end it right now while we can do it on friendly terms. We can smile, shake hands, chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and each go our own way.

So here’s a model separation agreement.

Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by land mass, each taking a portion. That’s going to be the difficult part, but I’m sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy. Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate taste. We don’t like redistributive taxes so you can have those. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. And since you hate guns and you hate war, we’ll take the firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O’Donnell. But you are going to be responsible for finding a biodiesel vehicle big enough to haul them around.

We’ll keep the capitalism, the greedy corporations, the pharmaceutical companies; we will keep Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have the homeless, the homeboys, the hippies and illegal aliens. We will keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, the greedy CEOS and all of the rednecks. We’ll keep the Bibles and we’ll let you have NBC and Hollywood.

You can be nice to Iran and Palestine and we’ll retain the right to invade and hammer anybody that threatens us. You can have the peaceniks and the war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we will provide them with security. You won’t have to worry about it. We will keep our Judeo-Christian values. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley Maclaine. You can also have the UN, but we will no longer pay the bill.

We will keep the SUVs, the pickup trucks and the oversize luxury cars. You can have the compacts, the subcompacts and every Subaru station wagon you can find. You can give everybody healthcare, if you can find any practicing doctors. We will continue to believe that healthcare is a privilege and not a right. We will keep "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" and the national anthem, and I am sure you will be happy to substitute in their place "Imagine." I’d like to teach the world to sing "Kumbaya" or "We are the world." We will practice trickle-down economics and you can give trickle-up poverty your best shot. And since it so offends you, we will keep our history, our name and our flag.

Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along other like-minded liberal and conservative patriots. And if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the friendly spirit of parting, I’ll bet you ANWAR which one of us will need whose help in about 15 years.

Sincerely,

John

Law student and an American

P.S. You can also have Barbara Streisand and Jane Fonda
ah, yes p.o.b.13, but i bet this is one constitutional amendment that would be ratified quite quickly!!
no hate here at all curious d. just a simple way for everybody to get what they want. hmmm…just exactly where is there hate in this…this is exactly what i want to get away from, people like you that spew the word hate every time my side has something to say .

In New Zealand and Finland people are working hard at finding a way to make a feasable supercritical steam injection diesel technology. Why not go to the next step, BIODIESEL? One of their problems was, to find a material to build the engines of that could tolerate the heat and friction. Well, how about nano carbon ceramics, or even nanocarbon ceramic replacable parts, that get replaced when worn out? Oh, I forgot to say that an engine like this uses only 20% of a normal diesel powered vehicle. I wouldn’t mind as a truck driver, to have a big rig that could run on only 20 % of the fuel a conventional truck uses.

The current biggest challenge for the use of biodiesel from algae is the high production costs. But with extensive research it is believed to produce economical and worthy operational technology

we are running thru a crisis for sufficient and safe energy for future development needs..

the atomic energy generates cheap electricity but the investment for atomic plants are high, their operation needs atomic fuel from other countries, the disposal of radio active wastes are likely to be unsafe..

tapping alternate sources of energy like the solar, bioenergy (biogas /biodiesel), wind energy etc are not found to make big headway..

what are the probable outlook for a solution to this state of affairs.. is it true that the lobby for fossil fuel is high and that the alternate ways are not sincerely attempted..

Please help!

A list of schools is at the bottom, and I described my sitch in the middle part. I want to know my odds of getting in the schools I listed. Thanks!

Here’s my sitch:

I am a high school senior, concurrently enrolled in college. I have taken summer classes since I was a freshman, getting As and Bs in college and straight As (ok, 2 Bs) in high school. I took classes throughout my junior year, and I’m taking more this year. I had some personal stuff come up that affected my grades- I got 2 Cs (out of 10 classes- the others are a mix of As and Bs), but I have court documentation of the incident that affected things, and a way to explain everything. The incident that really screwed things up gives me a "hardship" to overcome, which is pretty decent for apps.

I’ve taken through organic chemistry, genetics, and linear algebra- all very challenging courses.

I’ve done stage crew and lights for 3 years of school plays, and acted in a play entirely in French (I’ve skipped two years of French, done AP French literature, and French club).

I’ve volunteered with the county doing forest restoration since the summer before junior year. I’ve also been the president of a club for the past two years, and secretary beforehand.

I’m currently doing an internship and research project at a lab at the local powerhouse research university (state school, but very well regarded). I will submit an abstract and letter of rec from my prof with my apps. I’m also submitting my project to several science competitions. The project has biofuels applications, which relates to my involvement in environmental volunteer work.

I have a 4.47 GPA at high school, and I don’t really know my college GPA- it isn’t as good, but around a 3.2-.3. My SAT scores are about 2200, and I have a 34 ACT. I’m retaking those tests, and doing my subject tests this fall. I should score a bit better this time around.

I have WONDERFUL teacher recommendations from my history and biology teachers. They love me. The one from my bio teacher will mention how I made biodiesel in my blender for a class project- further emphasis of the environmental thing.

I have a couple ideas for creative essays about how I see science in everyday life, and find inspiration in it. i think I can write a good essay. All my personal essays for LA class have been greatly loved by my teacher and friends.

Please don’t make fun of me. I’m already insecure enough with all these applications, and I don’t think I can take anymore. Some honest advice would be great!

I need some schools to consider!

Right now, I like:

MIT, Emory, Brown, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, Cornell, Caltech, Carnegie Mellon, Duke, and Northwestern. Do I have a shot of getting into any of these?

Magic brownie points to whomever takes this seriously and gives some good advice.

THANK YOU!!!!
My high school typically sends 2 kids a year to Yale, 4 to Stanford, 1-2 to Harvard, 1 to Cornell… you get the idea.

Before Canadian Abraham Gesner developed a process for distilling kerosene from shale oil in 1849, everyone used whale oil (a renewable bio-fuel) for lamps. If we could farm whales today, couldn’t we create an unlimited supply of energy by harvesting whale oil?

http://www.littletechshoppe.com/ns1625/gesner.html

If capitalism saved the whales (by creating the petroleum industry), shouldn’t the socialists agenda based on bad science (man-made global warming) help exploit them?

Has anyone tried burning whale oil in a diesel engine?

http://www.allpar.com/ed/biodiesel.html

What are the chances of me getting a government grant to research this environmentally responsible, carbon neutral, alternative energy source?
No, no, I’m not saying we kill them. We just genetically modify them to produce more oil.. same thing we did with cows. Then, we could "milk" the oil out of them.

I would love to have a car run on biodiesel but I have a few questions:
1. About how much does it cost to make a car able to run on biodiesel?
2. Will normal garages do it for you?
3. Will all cars run on biodiesel?
4. Does biodiesel really work good or are there lots of complications?
5. Are places willing to give up there used oil for a small price?
6. Is there alot of maitinece involved in having a biodiesel car?

I’d love to convert it to biodiesel but I guess that’s out of the question. I can’t afford a new car- so what can I do?
