Understanding the Process Of Creating Biofuel?
http://www.biodiesel.org/pdf_files/fuelfactsheets/Production.PDF
^ The above link includes a flow diagram on how biofuel is created. I don’t really understand it.
Could you explain the whole process to me in words?
Also, what does ~ mean?
I only need to know the process of creating biofuel, so I don’t know whether all the other stuff about glycerine and fatty acids are necesary. It would also be helpful if you could provide a link to a simpler flow diagram.
Thank you so much.
// Thank you so much Trevor, however that wasn’t exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. Yes, this is for a school project. However, I am looking at palm oils and I need to create a flow diagram of the process. I understand what biofuels is and what it is about, I just need a detailed, but comprehensible diagram of the production process.

i am working on the assumption that you need some information on bio fuels for a school project, or something similar. The link that you took us to is an "advertorial" from some organisation that is pushing a particular process and it does not represent a complete picture of what this subject is about. Here is some brief information:
The use of bio fuels is nothing new and man has been using these for thousands of years. This has been in the form of burning wood, cattle dung, etc. Certain industries use bio fuels which are waste products from their production such as the burning of bagasse the waste fibre from the processing of sugar from sugar cane.
However, the big incentive now is to produce liquid fuels from a biological base for use in cars, trucks, tractors and power stations. This requires the intervention of chemical engineers. The work is being directed towards the production of alcohol, mainly ethanol, from carbohydrates such as sugar, corn, wheat etc.
for assistance to you I entered Bio alcohol from sugar into Google and I got a lot of interesting sites. Try it
